A new Airship Pirates adventure – Ruined Empires

Ruined Empires, published by Cubicle 7 Entertainment and written by Peter Cakebread and Ken Walton is the first addition to the RPG called Airship Pirates. Lets see, what we know about this new product, which is hopefully improves any campaign in this setting of steampunk-piracy.

Airship Pirates is a steampunk setting in an the future of an alternate Earth. Players are pirates of the world, and as a team will lead an airship, which is something like a Zeppelin and a Frigate combined. The barren ground is filled with clockworks, Neobeduins, armored trains and dangerous beasts, and you could have a life of adventure, plunder and infamy.

So its time to take to the skies abroad our airship, in an adventure with betrayal, exploration and opponents. This 42 page soft-cover book has much to offer for eager players, and it’s filled with possibilities and options. The path the players choose won’t only affect the success of the adventure, but could, and will have a longtime effect on a longer campaign too.

It could be very useful as an introductory adventure too, as it’s features many factions and locales from the game background, like Neobeduins and the Imperial Navy, or the floating city of Isla Aether, where the adventure starts with a treasure map.

While the beginning of the adventure could be called typical,  the other parts of Ruined Empires gives the players many decisions, from who to befriend to how to solve different challenges, all with a meaningful impact on the game.
