  Chaos Commandment, the third part of The Apostaty Gambit adventure trilogy has been released yesterday by Fantasy Flight Games. This Dark Heresy adventure may be played as a part of the series but it's also playable as a standalone module. The trilogy is supposed to be the most dangerous official adventure released for the Dark Heresy line.

The story so far...

  In The Apostaty Gambit trilogy the Acolytes face a grand conspiracy rooted within the Holy Church itself. The adventure features investigations against extremely influential people as well a lots of armed conflict. Again, the fate of the whole sector could depend on the character's actions.

  In the first adventure, The Black Sepulchre, a noble discovered a dark artifact. The Inquisition send the Acolytes to solve the mysteries and the tragic history of an old and powerful, warped Cathedral. The players find themselves in a crusade against a conspiracy within the church, which could threaten the whole sector.

  During The Church of the Damned the players continue their delicate investigation within the Ecclesiarchy, uncovering more and more about a conspiracy which could turn the whole sector into turmoil. As one influental leader has become suspected of heresy, the Acolytes find out information about The Maledictor’s Hand, a secret group of fanatical extremists, which manipulates the Imperium from the shadows.

The Final Chapter

  In the Chaos Commandment the conspiracy within the highest levels of Calixian Church has finally come to fruition, and it's depend on the players to save the sector from total collapse. The Maledictor's Hand is trying to throw down the current nobility, and cleanse the sector with fire from the sinners, which in turn would collapse the Imperium's unstable foothold in the region.

  To prevent this apocalyptic end, the players lead assaults, continue investigations, often fighting for their very lives to face the real terrifying power behind the curtain in a grand finale. Could they win and save the Sector, or their fruitless actions let everything collapse ? It's time to find out.
