A new gameplay trailer has been revealed for Magicka: The Stars are Left, a new DLC for the very successful Magicka computer game. This time, we get the chance to kick some Lovecraftian butt n this new adventure.

Fifty years after the story depicted in Magicka, the world of Midgard is in turmoil one more time. Only up to four wizards could save the world in Magicka: The Stars are Left, in the new adventure, due to release in this winter.

Magicka is an adventure game, partly based on Norse mythology and on a great deal of humor. The base game has many funny references for films and computer games, from Star Wars, 300, and Lords of the Rings to the Monthy Python and the Holy Grail. Tha game features a very unique magic system, where the players could cast spells endlessly by combining 8 different elements (Earth, Water, Fire, Cold, Lightning, Shield, Arcane, Life) and shaping them to different shapes. By specific spellbooks, even unique spells (magicks) could be unlocked for even more varied spellcasting experience.

Magicka: The Stars are Left will be the biggest expansion since the Vietnam DLC, which was a very surprising addition to a fantasy genre, I might add. In this new product we get 2 new bosses, 7 new type of enemies, some new items, achievements, and most importantly a several level long adventure. Without further ado, here is the trailer :   Get your robes ready! Let's kick some Lovecraftian butt! Zoltán "Cain" Mészáros
