New Warhammer 40k releases has been announced!

Yesterday was a great day for Warhammer 40k fans, as Fantasy Flight Games announced two new expansions for their 40k product lines. The new products are the Honour the Chapter sourcebook for Deathwatch, while The Soul Reaver will be a new adventure for Rogue Trader.

Honour the Chapter (Deathwatch)

While many Battle-Brothers of the famous Deathwatch are drawn from the most well-known chapters of the first founding, like the Ultramarines and the Space Wolves it’s not always the case. Many of the champions are recruited from other, lesser known chapters, as the Successors of the great Legions has their own highly trained and effective fighters as well.

The Honour the Chapter supplement provides options for the players who want to play characters tied to the Chapters from Second or later Foundings.  This include new character creation options, relics, and a lots of background information and adventure seeds for the Game Master.

The Soul Reaver

The Dark Eldar is one of the most dangerous xenos threats in the Koronus Expanse. They are cruel and violent, and nobody, not even Rogue Traders are safe from their attacks. On the other hand, consider yourself lucky if you die in their attack, as if they take you alive it’s even worse.

The Soul Reaver is a three-part adventure, featuring the Dark Eldar as the main antagonists against the players. But with only great risk could somebody reach great profit. If the players could overcome their enemies and the web of lies and betrayal, they may acquire an ancient and powerful warship from the very heart of a Dark Eldar city.

The Soul Reaver also contains the Dark Eldar Kabalite Warrior Career Path, which allows players to take the sadistic power of the Dark Eldar into their own hands for the first time.

Both Honour the Chapter and The Soul Reaver is due to release late in the second quarter of 2012.
