Yesterday Chris Pramas posted an extensive article on greenronin.com about their plans for 2012. I have to say, the future is bright! They have many plans, and I think every fan of their existing product lines will get something great. There is a lots of things to look at : Dragon Age, Adventure Game Engine, a new fantasy setting, A Song of Ice and Fire Roleplaying, Mutants & Masterminds and DC Adventures.

For Dragon Age they plan a series of products, including the awaited Set 3. The Set 3 rulebook will contain rules for 11-20 level characters, and as with Set 2 they will start a public playtest in less than a month. They will also release an adventure titled The Deep Roads for roughly 6-12 level adventurers.

Above these books they have other plans too for Dragon Age, and it's system Adventure Game Engine. The biggest news in this regards that the AEG system will receive a second fantasy setting to play upon, however we don't know any more details on it yet. On the long run they may release a sci-fi setting too (it's on their short list as Chris Pramas stated on the forums), but currently it's only an idea, and I'm not sure it it will be done with the AEG system if it will be a reality in the future. They also plan a series of short pdf products on the same as vein as the free Tallis DLC was. These products will feature new monsters, treasures, characters, starting with the Wyern very soon. Some of them will be tied to the Dragon Age setting, while others will be much more general.

Future also look good for the fans of the A Song of Ice and Fire Roleplaying (SIFRP). Following a very successful year, in this May they will release SIFRP A Game of Thrones Edition! This release will include all the rules in the core rulebook and the Peril at King's Landing adventure in a 320-page full-color package with updated art and rules. Later durind the year they will release The Night Watch sourcebook about the order including background, personalities, rules and advice to run a Night Watch campaign. They will also develop a SIFRP Starter Set to get possible new players.

For superhero fans like me it's good to know that Mutants & Masterminds and DC Universe is still strong, and several new releases will be available this year. The Gamemaster's Guide for Mutants & Masterminds 3rd edition is available this week, and they already released the Atom Family threat report and they started a new series, called Power Profiles with M&M Power Profiles: Fire Powers.

They also plan several new print products for the year, including Threat Report (containing all villains released in the series plus several new) and a new setting Mutants & Masterminds: Emerald City as a hardcover book. Since Emerald City is a part of "Freedomverse" it's entirely compatible with the previous Freedom City books. Oh, and I quote Chris Pramas directly for the third release :

"We're rounding out the year in Mutants & Masterminds with a mysterious October release. We'll have more to say about this later. We believe you'll find it more treat than trick."

For DC Universe they received license for only four books, from two is already released, while the remaining two is planned for this year. Heroes & Villains II is planned for March, while Universe should be released this fall.

All in all, I think Green Ronin and it's fans are loking forward a very good year.
